  • Trabia Tallarita (Caltanissetta)

The area of the former Trabia-Tallarita sulphur mine is located in the Province of Caltanissetta in the heart of Sicily.
It's home to various types of remains allowing us to trace the complex history of an unusual kind of industrial and commercial development.

This is the story of scientific and technological evolution, of workers and their families, of a whole society revolving around the mine and changing as it changed.

The project, designed and built under a temporary joint venture agreement with Pizzico D’Arte 2 and in cooperation with Studio Dedalo, brings together all of these strands through visual and sensorial experiences, such as a simulated descent into the mineshaft, the immersive space with its 360° projections and the various interactive work tables.
